Our Journey

From weekly workshops to inspiring summer camps, discover how we're making STEM accessible to every child

Weekly STEM classes

During our weekly STEM workshops with in collaboration with the NGO "Be the Miracle" we introduced children to STEM through interactive and engaging activities. We conducted basic coding lessons using games to make programming fun and accessible. We explored space science, teaching them about the planets, black holes, and the wonders of the universe, enhanced by VR glasses that allowed them to experience space firsthand. We also introduced hands-on experiments, such as building kaleidoscopes to explain how light, seeing the world through the microscope works and demonstrating volcanic eruptions with a small chemical reaction to illustrate how volcanoes function. We introduced them to renewable energy sources and so many more. Through these activities, we aimed to make STEM exciting, understandable, and inspiring for every child involved.

Fundraiser

We organized a team and decided on selling handmade bracelets and arts and crafts to raise money for a STEM summer camp and donating food for children supported by Be the Miracle.

We chose this idea because it is low-cost, creative, and allows for meaningful involvement from students and volunteers. We also promoted the fundraiser through posters and social media to attract attention and support. Our team worked together to design and produce a variety of items using affordable and sustainable materials which were sold in the headquarters of the NGO.

The money raised was more than enough to cover the supplies and excursions of the summer camp. The remaining money was donated to the NGO for food and supplies for the families.

Summer Camp

This summer with Science for All, in collaboration with Be the Miracle we organized a five-day STEM summer camp that gave children the opportunity to explore, create, and learn in a fun and supportive environment. The program included hands-on STEM activities such as observing the world through microscopes, discovering the wonders of space through VR glasses, and experimenting with simple coding exercises that introduced the logic of programming.

To ensure a well-rounded experience, each day also included arts and crafts sessions that encouraged creativity, as well as physical education activities that promoted teamwork and movement.

The highlight of the camp was a full-day excursion to the Eugenides Foundation Planetarium, where the children enjoyed an immersive planetarium experience.

Planetarium visit

The children got to experience one of the best and largest planetariums in the world! There they could actually visualise all the things they learned in our workshop about space.

SOS Villages Greece

We wanted to expand our impact, so we decided to strengthen our collaborations with other NGOs, beginning with SOS Villages Greece . There the kids had an amazing time interacting for the first time with fun STEM activities!

The Smile of the child

One another amazing collaboration we had was that with two amazing girls from The Smile of the child we all had an amazing time! Their favorite thing was block-coding a small robot and seeing rose petals, duck feather and cotton from the microscope.
